Ron Paul Bids Farwell to Congress in a Powerful Speech For Liberty
This past Wednesday Congressman Ron Paul of Texas gave his farewell speech to Congress with heavy words of what is needed to revitalize our liberties as men and women for freedom. At the same time the stock market has been contracting throughout the month with many financial analysts speculating a stock market crash, or at the very least a minor market correction. The latter possibility could surpass the 2008 recession market correction where many people lost 30% of their 401k’s and portfolios. With European austerity protests and public disputes over how to handle Greece becoming more volatile, the threat of tax hikes (fiscal cliff) under the Obama administration on dividends and capital gains further strangling the middle class, the question of whether the Fed is actually doing the U.S. a service with QE3? and the recent news that 40 states now have filed for secession from the Union has to make you wonder what has brought us to this point? Ron Paul’s farewell speech reveals the state of the crisis we face pretty clearly.
Ron Paul said this in reference to the liberties our founding fathers warned us of losing.
“After over 100 years we face a society quite different from the one that was intended by the Founders. In many ways their efforts to protect future generations with the Constitution from this danger has failed. Skeptics, at the time the Constitution was written in 1787, warned us of today’s possible outcome. The insidious nature of the erosion of our liberties and the reassurance our great abundance gave us, allowed the process to evolve into the dangerous period in which we now live.”
In regards to the ever burgeoning size of the Federal Government he comments:
Today we face a dependency on government largesse for almost every need. Our liberties are restricted and government operates outside the rule of law, protecting and rewarding those who buy or coerce government into satisfying their demands. Here are a few examples:
- Undeclared wars are commonplace.
- Welfare for the rich and poor is considered an entitlement.
- The economy is overregulated, overtaxed and grossly distorted by a deeply flawed monetary system.
- Debt is growing exponentially.
- The Patriot Act and FISA legislation passed without much debate have resulted in a steady erosion of our 4th Amendment rights.
- Tragically our government engages in preemptive war, otherwise known as aggression, with no complaints from the American people.
- The drone warfare we are pursuing worldwide is destined to end badly for us as the hatred builds for innocent lives lost and the international laws flaunted. Once we are financially weakened and militarily challenged, there will be a lot resentment thrown our way.
- It’s now the law of the land that the military can arrest American citizens, hold them indefinitely, without charges or a trial.
- Rampant hostility toward free trade is supported by a large number in Washington.
- Supporters of sanctions, currency manipulation and WTO trade retaliation, call the true free traders “isolationists.”
- Sanctions are used to punish countries that don’t follow our orders.
- Bailouts and guarantees for all kinds of misbehavior are routine.
- Central economic planning through monetary policy, regulations and legislative mandates has been an acceptable policy.
Ron Paul Fights for Liberty, NDAA Takes Them Away and Occupy Wall Street is Battered in Oakland California
By: Ryan Matthew Dernick
Now well into the heart of the 2012 Republican Presidential GOP race for the nomination Ron Paul holds a respectable third place nationally.
A libertarian to the core and a protector of constitutional rights,Texas Congressman Ron Paul has the economic insight to put America back on track. Florida Primary ended with Mitt Romney taking the win leaving Ron Paul in fourth place. When asked by Wolf Blitzer on CNN’s the “Situation Room” last Friday as to why he could not muster a more prominent foot hold in Florida among the voters there? Ron replied that the money was a big issue. As it did not allow him to campaign as aggressively as he could have liked to in the Sunshine State. In Nevada Paul ended up with 19 percent of the vote and again Mitt Romney stole the show with 50 percent.
On Saturday Feb.4th in the Adelson Late Caucus Results (Clark County, Nevada) were overwhelmingly in Ron Paul’s favor indicative of the growing national likeability of this Congressman and retired U.S. Air Foce Physician.
Paul 58% (183 votes)
Romney 19% (61 votes)
Gingrich 18% (57 votes)
Santorum 5% (16 votes)

Break the walls of ignorance and liberate “We the People” from a selfish selected few. Is it the purported Too Big to Go to Jail or is it Too Big to Fail? These spineless sycophants and their gestapo like minions feel the real change coming not the semantic sold change of ethically compromised puppet politicians.
The meek shall inherit the Earth not the greedy, malevolent and despotic conspirators against freedom. Let’s reinstate The Glass Steagall Act or Banking Act of 1933 which was put in place by Franklin Delano Roosevelt after the last Great Depression in the early 20th Century to stop banks from insider trading via derivatives but was then reversed by the Clinton Administration in 1999 prior to the 2008 onset of the present recession/depression. The act states it is to provide for safer and more effective use of the assets of banks, to regulate interbank control, to prevent the undue diversion of funds into speculative operations, and for other purposes. Is this historical irony or another corporate takeover? This is not a partisan issue but an issue that traverses any and all political ideologies.
All Criminal, I mean good things come to an end. Most people have heard the saying “The truth shall set you free”. If anyone has any reservations of where their allegiance lies then they might want to decide what side of the line in the sand they want to stand on. An egregious violation of our First Amendment right has been committed recently in Oakland, California when over 400 Occupy Oakland demonstrators and a number of journalists were arrested in a violent confrontation on Jan. 28. The turmoil began when protesters attempted to convert a vacant building into a community center. The police response to the protesters’ efforts included firing tear gas, bean bag projectiles and flash grenades to disperse the crowd, according to a Jan. 30 Democracy Now! The total of nationwide Occupy arrests are now up 6,300 protesters, according to @OccupyArrests’ twitter feed.
This violation is occurring because of the newest added piece of legislation passed known as the N.D.A.A .(National Defense Authorization Act 2011) that permits the President of the United States to unlawfully detain American citizens without normal due process of law. That means our 4th and 5th Amendment rights in the Bill of Rights are absolutely nullified or non-existent. It also increases sanctions on Iran, hence the ongoing further escalating nuclear tensions between the U.S. and Iran with the Unites States threatening Iran with more economic sanctions. Additionally (section 1045), commissions reviews of the military capabilities of countries such as Iran, China, and Russia, and refocuses the strategic goals of NATO towards energy security. This interestingly again reflects the current and ongoing geopolitical tensions the United States has with all three of these countries.
“Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”-John F. Kennedy. These words speak volumes in reference to a growing Global Peace Movement of Occupy Wall Street.org and the fight for liberty with Ron Paul’s 2012 Presidential Campaign. Wall Street and the World Banks are behaving like the Austrian born French Queen Marie Antoinette (1774-1793) married to Louis XVI as she said unsympathetically and ignorantly to the starving mass French Populous “Let them eat Cake”. Those that enjoy being products of parasitism, or having their intellect and good natures exploited by a hegemonic global corporate dictatorship need not listen as your conscience is sold by falsely perceived securities.
“Man, woman and child were meant to be what they were born to be free and independent”- my redaction of John F. Kennedy’s closing statement toward secret agendas or societies that subvert not only America but the world’s freedoms. I leave you with some quotes from one of the greatest European leaders and speakers of the 20th Century Sir Winston Leonard Churchill (1874-1965).
“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
“You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.”
“If you have ten thousand regulations, you destroy all respect for the law.”
“You can always count on Americans to do the right thing—after they’ve tried everything else.”
“History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.”
“Writing a book is an adventure. To begin with, it is a toy and an amusement; then it becomes a mistress, and then it becomes a master, and then a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster, and fling him out to the public.”
“The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you are likely to see.” “Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality that guarantees all the others.”

Ron Paul Takes the Lead in Iowa Eyes New Hampshire
By: Ryan Matthew Dernick
FOX News Paul Hannity tries to corner Ron Paul (R-Texas) in the post debate wrap up in in Sioux City, Iowa at the Iowa Caucus late last week. Hannity insinuates that Ron Paul is a racist because of supposed old newsletters that quoted him saying something racially charged. Paul denies any wrongdoing or writing of a racial epithet.
The revolving door politician, policy flip flopper and no I don’t mean Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) but Newt Gingrich (R-Georgia) is falling in the national polls with his many skeletons in the closet dragging him down.
One such skeleton is a 1.6 million dollar payout from Freddie and Fannie Mac in the 2008 recession/ sub-prime mortgage real estate collapse. Ron Paul has taken the lead in Iowa and some political pundits say a win by Ron Paul in Iowa would tarnish the poise of the caucuses. In doing so it would favor fringe candidates. Things will change if momentum helps Dr. Ron Paul win in New Hampshire as well.
Is Iowa Caucus a Turning Point for Ron Paul?
By: Ryan Matthew Dernick
Moving into the cusp of a new year the “2012 Presidential Election Buzz” is fervently increasing. Ron Paul (R-Texas) tied with Mitt Romney (R-Mass.) for third in the Iowa Caucus Poll at 17.4% and Newt Gingrich (R-Georgia) is still leading the way.
The crowds this past week at Iowa were very warm and uproarious especially for Ron Paul where many young supporters gathered to see him. It is great to finally see the tide begin to turn in favor for the septuagenarian Paul who not only has a perfect attendance record in Congress, but is also consistent in his political platform such as auditing the Federal Reserve or ensuring that checks and balances will not fail the “American People” and most importantly limiting our military presence in the Middle East.
Unlike Mitt Romney who wrongly claimed that no president before Obama had cut Medicare, and that Obama favored pre-1967 borders for Israel. Or Newt Gingrich who said he opposed cap-and-trade, even though he once spoke favorably of it, only if combined with other measures to curtail carbon emissions. Rick Perry (R-Texas) again falsely alleged Romney of writing that the Massachusetts health care law should be a model for the nation, and once again made his cliché apples-to-oranges comparison in the hopes of making his Texas job-creation record look more impressive. Former IRS tax lawyer Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) recycled a bogus claim about projected job losses under the new federal health care law.
Time will only tell who the Republican GOP 2012 Nominee will eventually be but there are sure to be more unexpected twists along the way. That is what makes political campaigns so interesting especially near the advent of another Presidential election.
